How much water should I drink every day?

The amount of water you should drink a day varies depending on your health, activity level, and climate. For instance, people living in tropical regions like Nigeria or Ghana will naturally consume more water because of the hot weather that makes people sweat. Therefore, the more you sweat, the more thirsty you get and need to drink water. While people living in the temperate regions have mild hot weather and do not sweat as much. Some health experts suggest about 2 liters of water a day. This is also known as the “8x8” rule. Others recommend different amounts based on your gender: 13 cups (about 3 liters) for men and 9 cups (a little over 2 liters) for women. You can also get water from food and other fluids. The best way to stay hydrated is to drink water and other fluids whenever you feel thirsty
