Abiola Temitayo-Afolabi: Lagos, Nigeria; I have a B.Sc. (Ed. biology), and an M.Edu. Technology, and an MBA (in view) from Lagos Business School. I chose granola because of the need to include fiber in my daily diet. I love veggies, but due to constant power cuts, my veggies go bad in the refrigerator. So, I began a search for alternative fiber sources with a longer shelf life, and then I stumbled on a YouTube video on granola made with rolled oats. I researched more on oats and found that it is the life-saving, immune-boosting fiber food source that I seek. Then it occurred to me that I might not be alone. There could be other people seeking a healthy diet but being constrained by reasons such as mine. It became a business by accident, grew organically, and now we are scaling it. My love for storytelling triggers me to see each ingredient as a character with a unique personality. And some day I will bring these animated stories to life. For now, I just write about how each of the ingredient contributes to your wellness.
